I'm Beverley, the maker behind a truly unique line of carpet
bags—crafted not from tapestry fabric like most, but from genuine carpet. Each
bag is handmade by me, with no outsourcing, no mass production, and no
compromises.
What sets my bags apart is their individuality. I never make
more than six bags from the same carpet design, so it's unlikely you'll ever
bump into someone with the same piece in a café, bar, or on the street. Every
bag is a one-of-a-kind statement.
I like to think of my creations as a modern-day twist on the
iconic Mary Poppins bag—stylish, sturdy, and surprisingly spacious, with a
touch of magic in every stitch.
My bags come in three versatile sizes to suit different
needs and lifestyles:
The Overnight – perfect for short getaways or
carrying a little extra.
The Tote – a roomy everyday companion for errands,
work, or play.
The Shoulder – compact, comfortable, and ideal for
daily essentials.
I began making carpet bags as a hobby, driven by my love of
crafting and a desire to repurpose beautiful materials. Many of my bags are
created from offcuts donated by carpet fitters, friends, and family—giving new
life to remnants that would otherwise end up in landfill. When I do purchase
new carpet, I choose sustainably sourced materials wherever possible.
After receiving so much positive feedback at craft fairs, I
decided to take the leap and offer my creations online. Each bag carries a
story, a purpose, and a touch of personality—just like the people who wear
them.
